Like I promised earlier, here’s all the complete information about the new dragons!
The drop was delayed, like I told earlier. Allthough lots of people were afraid it would be much harder to catch an egg, personally I didn’t have any problems with it. Within an hour I got 3 Blue ones and 4 Brown-Black ones. And this was during cooking my dinner and other things, so I wasn’t really focused on catching. Other’s experiences were mixed, though.
With TJ’s dragons growing up it is now clear who all the creators are. Odeen is the concept designer of the “Black-brown” while Birdzgoboom is the concept designer of the “Moist” one. They’ve also both made the all the sprites.
They have a few other things in common as Piemaster pointed out:

Ironically, it’s also both of their third releases, and they each had a holiday release before this, and they each had a drake released as their third in-cave dragon This post has been edited by PieMaster on Apr 6 2014, 06:50 PM
The codes gave no clues to the names. TJ only told us it were both Drakes:
- : Sorted between Horse & Ice
- : Sorted between Geode & Glory Drake
Now that the TJ’s dragons have grown up, the names are known now too:
- : Glaucus Drake
- : Howler Drake
The Howler Drake is already nick-named Noisy and Chirpy. The Glaucus Drake is already nick-named Moisty.
As always TJ posts his own dragons. With this release the codes were:
- a8gXp (frozen Glaucus)
- XiGU4 (male Glaucus)
- uknGd (female Glaucus)
- VpyWe (frozen Howler)
- xwV6y (male Howler)
- 0BM1n (female Howler)
You can catch the new dragons in:
- : Coast
- : Jungle
With TJ having 3 of each species, it was clear there would be no dimorphism for the hatchlings, but there would be for the adults. These are the first Drakes Species with Dimorphism.
The Sprites & Descriptions
|Concept Design by Birdzgoboom
Sprite design by birdzgoboom (All)
|Egg||This striped egg feels moist.|
|Hatchling||Aww… It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s mostly white but has a blue stripe down its back.|
|Maturing Hatchling||And look! It has grown antlers! It must be close to maturing.|
|Female Adult||Glaucus Drakes have curious personalities. They spend more of their time sunbathing and idly floating in the water than exploring. Because they move very little as when they float, Glaucus Drakes can ambush prey relatively easily. They can dive to surprisingly deep depths, and eat a variety of fish and marine plants. Most of them live in tight-knit family groups.|

Sprite design by Odeen (All)
|Egg||You hear strange noises coming from inside this egg.|
|Hatchling||Aww… It’s a cute baby dragon. It almost never stops chirping.|
|Maturing Hatchling||And look! It has gotten bigger! It must be close to maturing.|
|Female Adult||It is no mystery where Howler Drakes got their names. Though not very bright, these emotive creatures employ an impressive vocabulary of loud chortles, shrieks, and songs to communicate with one another, and almost never stop chattering. Howler Drakes inhabit dense jungles, foraging in the fertile soil for mushrooms, tubers, and insects. When threatened, a Howler will flare its wings to display its bright red eye spots, while letting out an ear-splitting scream.|
With the release a few days on its way, it seems the new breeds are pretty common, like the Brutes and Fever Wyverns. They’re pretty easy to catch. We’ll have to see how it turns out when the catching fever dies down a bit though.
These are drakes and drakes can only breed with other drakes. So it might be that these will become almost as common as caveblockers, but we can only wait and see what happens.
Birdzgoboom gave us extra information about the Glaucus Drakes with beautifull concept art to accompany it:
Also, Birdzgoboom told us the description of the egg was changed by TJ:

I actually didn’t give the eggs that description. ovo But I don’t mind it being changed. It’s all cool in my book.
Thanks, Birdzgoboom, for sharing this wonderful concept art & information!
This time Odeen didn’t have a concept art sheet, like last time with her Solstice Dragon, but she did share some information about the Howler Drakes with us:

I don’t have a fancy ref sheet for the Howlers but*dramatic camera zoom*The neotropical dragon is the Howler’s sworn enemy. Always trying to steal their mushrooms. *shakes fist*
Can you see it happening? Good thing these two aren’t too close to each other on my scroll
I haven’t looked at any lineage possibilities yet. But we are pretty limited, because DC Drakes (or Draks as they were originally called) can only breed with DC Drakes. Do you have any suggestions?
Have fun catching these new breeds!
