TJ09 has, of course, his own dragons. And he’s been so generous to use several of them for breeding requests. These dragons are all from Thuwed family. Now you may wonder what Thuwed stands for, I had been wondering the same. Actually Thuwed means dragon in the Saurian language:
Saurian is a cipher language created for the game Star Fox Adventures. The game takes place on a planet called Dinosaur Planet. The natives of the planet (several dinosaur tribes and one mammoth tribe) and Krystal (a blue fox girl) speak in a language that was known as “Dino Language.” In later games, the planet was called “Sauria.” I coined an unofficial term “Saurian” for the language because it’s easier to say.

- The English letter y is the number zero in Saurian.
- Proper nouns should remain unchanged when converting.
I have to admit, this constructed language seems awesome! Perhaps I’ll construct a language for a book I’m writing. I know George R. R. Martin and J.R. Tolkien have constructed languages for their books and they give just that little bit of extra… but I’m digressing, back tot he subject at hand, TJ’s Thuweds.
You can’t make a Thuwed breeding request through the forum. Instead he has a special page for that.
Requesting a Thuwed Egg
I had hoped quite some time to be able to send in a breeding request and I was finally able to do so. Have you ever wondered how it works? Let me show you:
1. Thuweds Page
Like I said, TJ has a special page, the Thuweds page.
If you go here, you’ll usually just see a short introduction text and an overview of all the pairings TJ has for breeding requests.
2. Choose your request
You have three options to make a request:
- Any egg
- An egg from a specific pair (Pairs with full lists will be grayed out)
- A certain kind of egg
3. Your request confirmed
If you’ve made your decision and you’ve managed to get on the list you’ll get the following message:
You’ll only get 1 place on the Thuwed breeding list so when you go back to the page again, you’ll see the following if your breeding request was confirmed:
If there’s no place on the breeding list and you’re not on the list you’ll get another text. I didn’t make a screenshot of that text. Once I’m not on the breeding list anymore, I’ll include it here.
I usually forget to check for a open place, but today I remembered! And I was lucky, because there were spots open! Now, I do have a wish for a Thuwed pairing simply for the fact one of the dragons has been discontinued (bright pink: Fadb Thuwed) and I wasn’t around before it was discontinued:
There are also pairings I would probably never combine, either because I’m not a big fan of the breed or because I’m not particular fond of the way the pairing looks. BUT…. There is another pairing, however, I like quite a lot too. I could make the one dragon and of the other I’ve got several already (darn Whites * Daydreams for ONLY producing Soulpeaces instead of the Whites I need for my lineage project), but if I make them myself it will not be from CB’s like a descendant from this pairing will be:
And there’s a third pair of which I’d like an egg. Although I’m not fond of the Horse dragons, I do like the Hellhorses and TJ has made a pair with a Green Copper:
Although I might not be particular fond of the other pairings/breeds, I think one of my goals for the future is to have a descendent of at least each Thuwed pairing TJ has.
Onto the details of my request. Because the three pairings I wanted an egg off, had full lists, I decided to chose an egg of a breed I didn’t have yet; the Red Copper:
I wonder who the parents will be, cause the pair I mentioned above shouldn’t be able to give a red copper, according to the breeding rules/guidelines:
The color of a Copper egg depends on these factors:
- The biome the CB Copper egg was picked up from.
- Male Copper x any female dragon = Egg color of its mother’s biome.
- If the mother has no biome or was caught BEFORE the biomes were added (June 10, 2011), it will be the color of the Copper father.
- Female Copper x any male dragon = Egg color of the female Copper.
- Random (should never happen)

Ok, here is exactly what the rules are regarding breeding coppers. This is directly from TJ. As far as I know, bred dragons do not have biomes, nor do dragons stolen before biomes were implemented, nor prize dragons.
So, as you can see, random should never happen. I paraphrased this earlier, but here is the direct quote. So color of copper eggs is determined first what biome the egg is picked up in for CB, then the biome of the mother if the egg is bred, then if she has no biome, it’s the breed (color) of the copper father, then it’s the breed of the copper mother.
So, I don’t know why Amazon’s was green.
The pairing I mentioned above has the Hellhorse as a female and the green copper as a male, so it should give either a Hellhorse, or a Green copper, but not a red copper. And TJ doesn’t have any red coppers in his overview of breeding pairs. I’m looking forward to the result!
Well, once I have the result, I’ll let you all know! Have fun in the meantime! Now all I need to remember is to keep at least 1 egg slot free. I don’t want to miss out on receiving my egg, now do I?
